Product Review: The L Letterpress

Product Review: The L Letterpress
Recently I was fortunate enough to be receive the L Letterpress from the folks at Lifestyle Crafts.

First of all, you need this product. I love that a product that not only makes it easier to create, but lends versatility as well.

I LOVE this machine so much.

The kit comes with everything you need: plates, ink, a brayer and even sample paper.

The instructions are simple enough to understand and easy to follow.

The plates are made in a way that allow you to design your own layouts and card designs, which is nice for a crafty lady like myself.

The machine itself is called the "Epic Six" and takes up very little space. I like that. And I like gadgets and gizmos. One thing that is nice is that the plates are not that expensive, and cost around $25 or so. They also offer custom plates, is that not cool?

Another thing to remember is that, YES. YES you can use their plates on your Sizzix Big Shot. I recommend getting the starter kit if you plan on using this with your sizzix.   Oh, and this thing cuts paper too! YES! This was so exciting. They sent me a few dies to play around with, and I made some tags. It's so easy and their dies are pretty cheap. This machine works with the "Quickutz" dies.

The thing that I absolutely love about this machine is that it allows you to create a design for a card, create it, and make a BUNCH of them in minutes. Literally, it took me about 5 or 10 minutes to make a bunch of cards. How cool is that? You can make your own invitations, greeting cards, special occasion cards, and even start up a little business making custom cards for friends in your neighborhood.

Here's what I made:

A pretty batch of Thank you cards. Hmmmm, who knows, I may need them one day soon, right?

Christmas Tags! Cute, right? I used their dies to cut the shapes, and then used a Christmas sentiment from their Christmas plates.

Also, here's a fun little envelope I made with their die cuts:

The plate is called a seed packet die. It's cute, right? Actually, I can think of a dozen of fun little gift and favor ideas just using this die!

Anyway, my review of this product is totally positive. I give it five paintbrushes.

It's a fun product to use if you like making things yourself. YES, you can use your own paper because that's what I did for my cards. YES, they do sell paper for you. And the wipes that go with the machine, make cleaning up easy peasy.
